Quizlet Live - Formative Assessment Game

In this class, we will be using a number of traditional and technology tools. The video above is an example of one of the technology methods we will engage with as teachers and students. While we will definitely still use the white board projectors and watch DVDs, we will also be using Quizlet Live and Kahoot as a means of engagement.

My educational philosophy is to be an effective teacher and to make learning a meaningful experience by meeting the learning needs and the learning styles of my students. 

I plan to teach and engage students by using the appropriate strategies, process, accommodations, and technology that is available to them. And also engage them in the learning process while checking on their success. 

The classroom activities we will engage in are collaboration through group activities, employing the use of technology to complement teaching and learning, and to coordinate with support staff where necessary. 

For example, we would use jigsaw. I would put the students in groups where each group is responsible for researching and creating a lesson about the specific math concept. At the end of the jigsaw session, students would choose a group leader to share their lesson with the rest of the class. They could also use Kahoot as a fun activity to check for their understanding.
